We have been eating here for years (10+ years) and can hands down say its the best Indian food ever. Its always a special treat in this house when we have a Bitterne Balti takeaway and even more special when we sit in. The atmosphere...More
Food tasteless and very rude staff. Got the order wrong, I offer zoo retiurn it and walk back the 15 mins, only to be met by an aggressive confrontational man. Do NOT use this awful place , rude, arrogant, and tasteless A dreadful place, never...More
We were last here 3 years ago, from Canada. The food was good,a pretty high standard. When it reached our table though, not as warm as it should be.But warm enough to enjoy .Quite when we arrived two tables covered at 6pm but got busy by 7...More
Looks like a new chef in place, I had the Chicken Tikka karai with mushroom rice, taste was excellent and portion size was good. Service excellent and the décor extremely clean and tidy. Will definitely be going again.
I love this place. I have been here a few times now for our work parties and every time I have had great service and delicious food. I highly recommend the chicken or lamb biriani !! This is my favourite place to come for an...More
We hadn't visited for a while and notice the restaurant had been closed for a few weeks. . Passed by last night and the restaurant was open, so popped in for dinner. We were not disappointed, good food, good service and great atmosphere. Definitely our...More
Visited a few weeks ago, there were four of us from Sheffield and we all had a fantastic meal, the food and service was outstanding, the atmosphere was relaxing, the restaurant is clean. The owner went out of his way to be helpful and to...More
Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. It is not the first time that we ordered from Bitterne Balti and most of our previous experiences were very good, so I wonder if they have changed Chef or were rushing it. We ordered King Prawns Bhuna...More
Hubby and I ordered a main each and starter, 2 popadoms and a nan and it was almost £50. Tasted amazing but at those prices it was def a treat rather than a monthly thing.
We live close by and get takeaway from here often. Quality is always excellent and the service is extremely friendly. Best curry house this side of the Itchen!
Just ordered another lamb bhoona madras after the fantastic ones over the last few months... Give the chef a pay rise 😁. Brilliant food. I'm a chef who makes curry and yours is almost as good as mine❤️❤️
Lovely meal on Christmas Eve, food was delicious, serviced by friendly staff who are happy to help and advise on the food looking forward to another visit.
We have not been for a sit down meal for a while but have been regular " takeaway " customers for a number of years. It is apparent the restaurant has had a turbulent few years( chef dismissals, close downs, poor chefs) but if the...More
The lady on the phone was efficient and courteous, the food was ready to collect on time and was absolutely delicious - the best we have had anywhere and at a very reasonable price. Would recommend wholeheartedly. Thank you.
A tasty well cooked Indian meal in a friendly well presented restaurant. We visited here on a Saturday evening as a party of six and had booked, but looked like they could have fitted us in, with out the call. This is a great location...More
Good quality food, both takeaway and eat in. The breads and Bhajis are fantastic. The tandoori chilli chicken is a great flavoursome curry.
The worst Indian restaurant ever. Food taste like ketchup. Let's put it this way I will not go back even if it's free food.
I'm an old time Bitterne Parker, but rarely get there these days, but it was great to find they have such a decent place to eat by The Triangle now. It was early on Saturday evening when we dropped in so the restaurant was quiet,...More
Had a superb meal in the restaurant. Other restaurants seem to get more bookings, but the food here us far better. Service is superb and being family run, everyone cares about what they do. Highly recommended and check out the specials.
Having tried various Indian restaurants in the area, this was our first visit and it is without a doubt the best in Bitterne. A long walk up the hill to Bitterne Park for us but would happily do it every weekend. The food was honestly...More
